Tuesday, April 17, was Metro Manila's hottest day so far this year, with temperatures reaching 36.8 degrees Celsius, state weather forecasters said. State weather agency Pagasa said the already hot weather and "relative high humidity" would combine to make temperatures seem even higher that they are. Pagasa added that people should expect even hotter days in May. Doctors recommend increased water intake and more frequent baths to avoid heat stroke. -GMANews.TV
